Our people

Knowledge lives in people.

Elders, storytellers, writers, artists and young people give this publishing work its purpose. Their voices connect lived experience with the generations still to come.

An Elder’s voice

Richard “Rocky” Jackson

Born and raised in Telegraph Creek, Rocky shares his experiences through stories and music. He learned to play guitar by ear and wrote and recorded Welcome Home as a song of freedom and connection.

His presence on this website honours the power of a personal story and the many ways it can be shared.
